Guitar: Goya G-10 Classical Guitar.
I have had this guitar since 1964 when I got it in exchange for backrent from a buddy who was returning to school. I taught
myself how to play classical guitar music on it, and it has been my friend and companion in times of joy and sorrow for over
40 years, now.
Banjo: Chuck Lee Lone Star openback.
I was visiting the local music shop recently,
playing some banjos, and this particular instrument whispered in my ear, "You will take me home!". . . I did.
Fiddle: Palatino VN-350.
I bought this for myself in August of 2003 when I decided that I wanted to
add it to my instruments. This has been a difficult journey, reminding me of what I went through when I first started to learn
the guitar.
Ukelele: Johnson UK-120.
Presented to me as a retirement gift by the gang from Support
Services when I retired from the Truckee Donner Public Utility District in September of 2003. This is a joyful little soprano
uke that slips easily into my arms while waiting for the computer to slog along, or jumps under the seat in the car when we
go out. It is not shown in this picture.
