If you do not already have a copy of Acrobat Reader on your hard drive, get a free copy from the above link before proceeding further. NOTES a)Our PDF files are read-only books. You will not be able to print the text or make changes to it. b)We recommend that you get version 5 (or higher) of the Adobe Reader. Some things won't work with versions 3 & 4. c)Most of our files are about the same size as a plain-text version of the book. PDF is nororious for its bloated files. For example, I recently downloaded a 137 page document that was seven megabytes in size! If we published a file that big it would contain more than 3,000 pages. We have kept things compact so that even people with slow dial-up connections can download our books. How this works STEP ONE - Download the book Download the e-book you want to read from the list below. Use your browser's "Save Target As" feature to copy the PDF file to your hard drive. (In Explorer, click the right button on your mouse to do this.) Note that these files are encrypted and password protected, so you will not be able to read them until you ... STEP TWO - Pay for the book Pay us for the book using the PayPal buttons. PayPal is an eBay company. They processes credit card transactions on the Internet. There is no fee to use PayPal to buy something--the transaction will show up on your credit card as a payment to our account at PayPal, not directly to us. If you are new to PayPal, the "Buy Now" link will have information on how to set up your payment. To get PayPal information before you buy, go to their site here. You can also pay by mailing us a check or money order. (See below.) STEP THREE - Send us e-mail Send us an e-mail telling us what book(s) you are have paid for and the e-mail address (if different) where you want the password sent. After PayPal confirms your payment, we will e-mail you the password. Please note that we do not use auto-responders; all processing is done by hand. Our PayPal e-book orders are usually processed around 8AM Monday through Friday. Further note that we are located in a very remote place, and during the storm season the phone lines can be down for days at a time. We will process all orders as soon as possible. Use whatever text magnification you like, however, note that some books contain graphics, which may be hard to view on some devices; a Palm Pilot or a Pocket PC with a small screen, for example. Also, PDF is a "static" form. It will not display an animated GIF, for example. We recommend ... If you are not using a "Windows-compatible" computer, we suggest that you download one of our free books to make sure that your computer or device works satisfactorily with our files.
